Disclosures
What this service is, and what a request does.
NewJerseyForeclosureHelp.com is attorney advertising. Each request is forwarded to one participating New Jersey attorney or firm determined by the property’s county and the foreclosure stage. It is not an attorney referral service.
What we are and are not
This website is attorney advertising for participating New Jersey attorneys and firms. It is not a law firm, a government agency, a court, a housing counseling agency, or a mortgage lender or servicer. Website content is general information about New Jersey foreclosure procedure and is not legal advice for your individual situation. Nothing on this site should be relied upon in place of advice from an attorney who knows your case.
Who is identified here
This site is operated as NewJerseyForeclosureHelp.com. It is not an attorney referral service, and it is not associated with, approved by, or part of any government agency, court, or lender.
What you are charged
Nothing. Homeowners are not charged by this site for submitting a request. Participating attorneys and firms pay this site a flat advertising fee for each request they receive, whether or not you hire them. If you later hire an attorney, the scope of representation and any legal fee are set out separately between you and that attorney. NewJerseyForeclosureHelp.com does not rank, recommend or vouch for any attorney, and does not determine that an attorney is the right one for you.
What a request is, and any representation
This site does not review your case; the participating attorney who receives your request does. Submitting the form is a request to be contacted, not an agreement to hire anyone. Legal representation is a separate decision and a separate agreement between you and that attorney, and any fees must be discussed with the attorney directly. Using this site or submitting the form does not create an attorney-client relationship, does not guarantee that an attorney will take your case, and does not guarantee any outcome.
Deadlines and outcomes
Submitting a request does not pause a foreclosure, stop a scheduled sale, or extend any court deadline. If you have a court date, a mediation session or a sheriff’s sale approaching, seek legal help promptly and say so at the start of any conversation. An attorney can assess what options remain; no promise is made that a foreclosure will be stopped or delayed, and only your lender or servicer can approve a loan modification or other loss-mitigation option.
Who receives your request, and how
Each request is forwarded to one participating New Jersey attorney or firm, chosen automatically by the property’s county and the foreclosure stage selected on the form. The site does not review your case, and it does not rank, recommend or vouch for any attorney.
Participating attorneys and firms pay this site a flat advertising fee for each request they receive, whether or not the homeowner hires them. Homeowners are not charged by this site.
To participate, an attorney or firm must have New Jersey attorneys licensed and in good standing who agree to these terms.
Each request passes through an intake service on its way to the attorney or firm. The stage you choose on the form is one of the two things that decide who receives it; it and any follow-up answer travel with your request. Contact is by phone call, text message or email, by a person. See the privacy notice for what is collected and how it is used.
Even if you speak with the participating attorney, your lender may not agree to change your loan, and no one can promise that a foreclosure will be stopped.
Free help that does not depend on this site
New Jersey homeowners can reach HUD-approved housing counseling agencies at no cost, including the foreclosure-prevention counseling funded by the New Jersey Housing and Mortgage Finance Agency (609-278-7508) through HUD-certified agencies in every county. A homeowner who wants court foreclosure mediation must work with such a counselor. The New Jersey Courts publish free self-help material on foreclosure. Using any of these and sending a request here are not alternatives; many homeowners do both.
Accuracy of court and agency information
Court and sheriff addresses, sale locations and agency listings are read from the publishing organisation's own pages on the date shown on each county page and can change without notice. Confirm with the court or the sheriff’s office before you travel. How the facts are checked and how to report an error is on the verification page.
